Set up your Kiosk player

Use your Kiosk player to loop through your video(s) in your waiting room, so clients can watch your videos while they wait.

PLEASE NOTE: To use your Kiosk player in your waiting room / office, you'll need one of the following:

  • A television connected to a computer with access to the internet

    - OR -

  • A tablet with access to the internet

Practice Panda website and marketing support is unable to assist with IT support for your local / office network connection, or assistance with other IT support requests such as connecting your TV's and devices to the internet or hooking up other devices to your TV.

For assistance with local network and device support, please consult with your local IT administrator / technician.

1. Log into your Practice Panda account at https://portal.practicepanda.com

2. In the left menu, you can expand "Videos" and then select โ€œTaxVid Videos", or click the "TaxVid Videos" button on your dashboard (as shown below)

3. At the bottom of the TaxVid Client Video Portal page, click the "Get kiosk player link"

4. On the Kiosk Player page, you have a few options you can configure before you copy the kiosk player link to share on your devices. Please see the following options below:

  • a. Click the Set bumper type drop-down to select the type of bumber videos you want displayed. Bumper videos are short, tax related videos that help break up your standard videos.

  • b. Click the four buttons under the 'Check out the bumper videos by category' section to view the catalog of each video bumper category.

  • In the following example, we selected "View Who Said It" (1.) to view the videos that will be added to the kiosk player rotation.

  • In the Viewing Bumpers: Who Said It pop-up video catelog, you can click the blue play button on any bumper video to preview its content (2.)

  • When you're finished previewing the videos, click the X button (3.) in the upper right of the bumper video catalog.

  • c. Click "View Kiosk player now" to view your how your kiosk player will be displayed depending on your selected configuration options.

  • d. When you're finished configuring your Kiosk Player settings, click "Copy code to clipboard". This copies the link to your kiosk player that you can use to display on your tv's or other media devices.

5. Once you copy the Kiosk player URL from step 4.d, the video player will start playing your video(s). Simply hover over the video and then you'll be able to click the Full-Screen icon in the lower right corner so your video fills the screen (as shown below):

6. Congratulations! If you've followed all the steps in this guide then you've successfully configured your Kiosk player, copied your kiosk video player link, and should have displayed it on your TV / media device in your workspace. Your videos will now loop throughout the day for your clients.
